Ok, this is pretty much old news by now, but here it is: the new supplement rules info.
You Get the Gist...
Ok, this update is going to be incomplete. To be perfectly honest, I don't have the new version in front of me and I'm merely sharing the changes passed on to me by those that do. That said, let's take a look shall we?
Rules
There is only one noticeable rules change. Previously, Farsight characters were restricted to Farsight Enclave signature systems only. Enclave players exploited a loophole by putting the Tau Empire signature systems on bodyguard XV8's because they had access to the siggies but were not actual characters. RAI? Probably not, but RAW it was clear as day so it happened.
Anyways, this new update has opened it up and allowed FSE characters to take FSE in addition to TE signature systems. What????

Holy cow that is awesome! Buffmander is now fully allowed in an FSE detachment. No need for a second detachment! (which is how I'd been managing it previously) Plus now I can add Iridium armour to my fusion blades commander. Literally the only thing that kills my commander each game is a S8 weapon, so this will be a huge boost for the old FBC!
But it isn't all good news. Unfortunately, the recent FAQ was not 'fixed' in regards to the Earth Caste Pilot Array. This new update still lacks the language, that the original supplement had, which allowed Riptides to take signature systems. So in the current rules a Riptide still can't take an ECPA or the Seismic Fibrilator Node (not sure why you want anything else).

Formations
Not actually anything new here. Basically, all the formations that could be part of the Dawn Blade detachment were added in.
Fluff
I have no idea what is new. In all likelihood much of the fluff from the Damocles books was translated in.
So that is it. Farsight Enclaves are now pretty much the only way to go if you aren't using a Hunter Contingent. And if you play using ITC rules, then the Hunter Contingent is probably worse than the Dawn Blade. Especially now that the FSE commanders can be buffmanders...
Somebody needs to come up with a new name for the souped up versions of commanders this union will produce.
Buffmander 2.0 = Iridium, DC, VRT, Stims, CCN, M3S, Warscaper Drone (marker), Talisman
FBC 2.0 = Fusion Blades, VRT, Iridium
Although the Buffmander has a lower level of effectiveness in this day of Drone Net and Dawn Blade detachments...
EDIT:
It appears that currently there is a conflict of rules with the GW (What? no! They would never!)
Depending on where and when you buy this supplement, the signature system rule change may not be there.
From what I have heard, if you bought the book in an epub format or if you bought the physical book, you can take both siggie systems. However, if you own the iPad version it has the same wording as Mont'ka: either/or.
Hopefully GW fixes this quickly, and since people with physical copies of the new supplement have confirmed the change, I'm going to assume the FAQ will be in favor of the change.
